Sage Line 50 Part l  

This one-day course will enable you to use the accounting features that are common to all Sage Line 50 software. The training course is necessary for all Sage users primarily because it emphasizes the routines that are essential to resolving accounting problems. At the end of the course you will be able to apply Sage Line 50 software to the main accounting functions of your business.

  • Bad Debts: Writing off bad debts and VAT implications.


  • Prepayments/Accruals : Practicing examples of prepayments and accruals.


  • Year End: Year end routine and preparing for a new accounting year.


  • Automatic Postings: Dealing with recurring entries (standing orders and direct debits).


  • Opening Balances: The choice of methods and VAT cash accounting and checking against the previous system.


  • Security: Backing up, restoring and verifying data.


  • Decisions Before Setting up: Features and Settings – account coding structures, basic configuration, layout of accounts, profit and loss and balance sheet.


  • VAT: Producing and Reconciling VAT return and run VAT cash accounting.v Banking: Bank Reconciliation


  • Reports: Monthly management reports, budgets, and month end routines.

Part II of the Sage Line 50 training course emphasizes the more advanced features of Sage Line 50. The training is an essential requirement for Sage software users.
