This one-day course will enable you to maximise the use of the Sage Instant Accounting software.

At the end of the course you will be able to:
• Operate the Sage Instant Accounting software program with maximum efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Maximise the use of your time to manage your business.

Basic Concepts: Integrated Sales, purchase and nominal ledger system. Banking: Reconciling bank accounts. Opening Balances: Understanding methods choice and their impact upon VAT cash accounting. Data Entry: Recording of invoices, credit notes, customer/supplier payments, cash and bank payments/receipts and nominal ledger journal entries. Reports: Producing Profit/loss, balance sheets, budget reports and month end routines. The Products: Simplifying the production of invoices, and understanding the choices for coding structures. Security: Backing up, restoring and verifying data. Correcting Errors: correcting errors after posting. Year End : The routine associated with year end and preparation for a new accounting year. Accounts: Creating customer and supplier records, tailoring nominal ledger account names, and altering profit/loss and balance sheet layouts. Invoices: Creating and posting invoices relative to the product file and service style invoices.

Preparation: Before you attend the course we recommend that you familiarise yourself with Sage Instant Accounting Software, looking at the basic menu structure and layout. You should be familiar with double entry, VAT, invoices, etc., etc.
